SWANS

WHERE DOES A BODY END?

The Poster

A note on the poster artwork featured on the main page. It was designed by the mighty Hrvoje Karalic. He has also designed other Swans and Michael Gira concert posters, as well as Neurosis, John Carpenter and Melvins.

I will have some screenprinted posters for sale at the upcoming festivals and Brussels screening as well as making some available for sale on the website in a few weeks. Check out more of Hrvoje’s work here

I love the film. I have been a fan of SWANS for over 30 years, and it had information and stories in it, that even I didn’t know. I think it’s a great story for anyone and everyone, whether you are a SWANS fan or not. The story of Michael Gira and all the SWANS , the ideas, the band - so many amazing people- this driven, this talented, and creative, and so human… stories and individuals full of hopes and dreams, success and failure, triumph and tragedy. I think it is entertaining, and enthralling from open to close. I know that it should and WILL BE entertaining and interesting even to country and classical music fans, i.e. to those who have never even heard of SWANS. Marco has created a vision… physically incarnate - that has told a story that must be told and never allowed to be forgotten. I give it 4.9 stars out of 5. The only reason it doesn’t get a 5 is because I want more- it isn’t long enough. I don’t know if it ever could be enough for me.
